5th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail September 2010 Dockline Issue

Hey y'all ! We're going to break routine this month from featuring our Lone Star state wineries and invite everyone to the 5th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail Festival. The event is held in Old Montgomery (corner FM149 and FM 105) and is huge fun. This is an excerpt from the Historic Montgomery Business Association promo:
"The 5th Annual Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail, "A Toast to Texas " is sure to be an exciting event this year with so much enthusiasm already generated from the success of the previous years. This will once again be an ALL TEXAS festival held in Texas ' 3rd oldest cityEnjoying the Wine and the birthplace of the Texas flag.
This wine and food event will feature ALL TEXAS WINES and ALL TEXAS FOODS along with a host of other arts, crafts and upscale artisan vendors as well, from across this great state. Attendees will sample wine, seasonal and micro-brewed beers, and lots of great food all day. Enjoy participating in the wine and beer pairing demonstrations performed by local renowned chefs along with a dazzling ice sculpting demonstration. Of course, there will be great Texas music performed throughout the day and closing out the evening will be Kevin Black. Kids will also enjoy plenty of activities such as fun jumps, grape stomp, face painting and much more to keep them entertained and happy throughout the day."
The festival fills the downtown area and the streets are blocked off for this event, and many food and retail vendors

round out the "goin's on". Due to size limitations, the festival has to limit the number of wineries to just twenty and are by invitation only. Attending this year are some of Texas' brightest and finest ambassadors to the wine industry, several of these wine makers happen to also be on the Board of TWGGA (Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association).
